What is a feminised strain?

Feminised strains only produce female plants. With regular seeds, the grower would have to separate the males from the female plants. This is done because when a female plant is pollinated by a male it dramatically slows down THC production and the plant will start to produce seeds.

Why use Feminised seeds?

Feminised seeds completely bypass the process of producing males so only female plants are produced. This cuts out the process of having to remove males as soon as their sexuality appears so they can't pollinate the females. This essentially leaves the female plants virgins so all their energy is put into producing buds. Growing female only seeds also makes the grow space more efficient as space will not be wasted with male plants.

How feminised seeds are made

The main idea behind creating feminised seeds is to force to female plants to make seeds with each other, resulting in the produced seeds ending up only female. This is made possible due to a substance called colloidal silver which is basically silver particles mixed with water.

When a female plant has colloidal silver added to it during its flowering process it produces pollen sacks instead of buds. The pollen from these sacks can be used to pollinate another female plant which then will only produce female seeds.
